Mendocino Coast Humane Society
Our Mission
Our mission: To contribute to a better life for animals and to inspire public awareness of animals needs.
To provide a safe haven for homeless animals and secure for them permanent, loving and responsible homes
To prevent and alleviate animal suffering
To work toward ending the problem of pet over-population through accessible spay/neuter services
To serve as a source of information and assistance regarding the care and well-being of companion animals
To prevent the euthanasia of healthy and treatable companion animals
Adoption Policy
Through our Adoptions Program, we offer a variety of wonderful animals who are deserving of a loving, responsible home. Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, de-worming, flea treatment, as well as heartworm, feline leukemia and FIV testing. In addition to being open Monday through Saturday, we also extend our adoption programs reach with our Mobile Pet Adoptions van, which enables us to go into our community with adoptable animals in Mendocino as well as Fort Bragg. We also feature an adoptable animal weekly on Skunk Radio and in local newspapers.
We want you! MCHS is always looking for volunteers. We need people to train dogs, take them out for walks, and to hang out with the cats in our Kitty Cottage. To find out more email us at info@mendocinohumane.org or call us at 964-SPAY. Website: mendocinohumane.org
We are located at 19691 Summers Lane, Fort Bragg, Ca. Directions: 2 mile
