RUFF Rescue Tucson (Rehoming Unwanted Furry Friends)
Our Mission
RUFF Rescue (Rehoming Unwanted Furry Friends) is a small, independent rescue dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and rehoming small dogs left homeless by a variety of different circumstances. Â
Our adoptions are done with the submission of an application and a meeting with the prospective family. Â The ultimate goal is to achieve a pleasant transition for both the dog and the new guardian.Â
RUFF Rescue is an independent rescuer who has been rescuing for the last ten plus years, first starting out to rescue puppymill dogs. While still occasionally doing these rescues, most of our companion animals are rescues from the community, brought on by many different circumstances. The supreme goal is for our city to no longer need rescues to take in and place these loving, lost souls. Until that time, there will be those of us who will happily do our part to continue to love, rehab and place pets in need.
Adoption Policy
Adopting a homeless pet can be one of life's most rewarding experiences. Many of the animals in our rescues are "throw aways."  They come from a variety of situations. Some of their guardians have passed away, some are given up by impatient caregivers, some are strays and some are just homeless because they no longer fill the need for which they were originally obtained.
Most rescue animals seem to understand that they have been given a second chance and are totally devoted to their new family. They will fill your life with unconditional love, laughter and happiness. Before you shop, please adopt!
RUFF Rescue does not have a physical shelter. All of our furry friends are in foster homes until adoption into their forever homes. To meet one of our pets, please call or email for an adoption application and a brief phone interview. We can then set up a meeting in your home.
