Our Mission

Who We Are

BARK (Baby Animal Rescue Koalition) is a Non-Profit, No Kill, All Volunteer Animal Rescue Organization whose purpose is to address the problem of over population of companion animals in Pima County in two ways:
*Provide foster home care and adoption services primarily for pregnant and nursing mothers and young animals.
*Promote education and provide low cost spay/neuter subsidy to the public to prevent the birth of so many unwanted pets.


Adoptions

The regular adoption fee for our puppies is $125.00. We do accept credit/debit cards via Square Reader; however, there is a $4.00 surcharge.

To meet with any of our adoptable animals, please visit us on Saturdays from 11-1 inside Petco at 11985 N Oracle Road - in the Oro Valley Marketplace. Since we are foster based we do not have a central location and only do adoptions at Petco on Saturdays. BARK is a local (Pima County) rescue organization and does not “ship” animals out of town.

Please email barkntucson@aol.com for inquiries about any individual animal. Older animals typically do not come into the adoption site, so please email us in order to make sure we bring him/her to meet you.


More About Us

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers and foster families helping find dogs forever homes in the Tucson community. All of our animals are housed in foster homes with other animals, so we've had a chance to see them in a "family" environment and interacting with other animals.

BARK is focused mainly on young rescues. Community animal control facilities often do not have the resources to take care of pregnant animals or mothers with young puppies. For this reason, they are euthanized. We take these pregnant mothers and young animals into foster homes and provide the care they need until they are old enough for adoption into their forever homes.

We are always looking for new VOLUNTEERS to help at our adoption site. We are also looking for foster homes. If you can help in either of these areas, please stop by our Petco adoption site on Saturday and we can answer any questions you have and give you an application form. We provide training for all foster families and adoption counselors/teen volunteers. Thank you in advance.

Baby Animal Rescue Koalition is a 501-C-3 Non-Profit No Kill Animal Rescue Organization. You can drop off any donations at our adoption site on Saturdays between 11am-3pm. If they are large items please email us first at barkntucson@aol.com.

Currently the only way to make online donations (via PayPal) is through the donate button on our Facebook page.
