The Ark Cat Sanctuary
Our Mission
The Ark Cat Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill organization established in 2006 (EIN: 20-5883650). Ark rescues cats and kittens from municipal shelters and the public in Northern Arizona and the Four Corners region, including the Navajo and Hopi Nations. Ark arranges any care the cats need to become healthy, provides socialization to make them adoptable, and then adopts them into permanent homes. Cats with behavioral or health issues that cannot be adopted have life-long homes at the Sanctuary in group indoor/outdoor enclosures with cats that have similar issues (ex. hospice, chronic respiratory issues, feral). Ark saves around 700 cats and kittens annually and typically cares for about 200 permanent resident cats.
Adoption Policy
All cats and kittens are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and have had vaccinations appropriate for their age.
