Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League
Our Mission
Spay/Neuter update: From 2007 through Sep. 2022, over 8,550 cats and dogs have been sterilized with financial support from the AWL. We use funds from small grants as well as from our ongoing fundraising projects.
HUG program is expanding: Help Us Go is AWL's effort to transport large dogs or shy cats to other states that have strict spay/neuter laws or to sanctuaries.Â
HSV AWL is a proud partner of the Best Friends No More Homeless Pets Network.
The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League is organized for the charitable purpose as a rescue organization whose mission is to place all rescued/surrendered adoptable companion animals into loving homes and to prevent the overpopulation of unwanted animals.
We are a totally volunteer organization with well over 100 volunteers managing our Adoption Center, Spay/Neuter Clinics, and other programs. The AWL is a nonprofit Arkansas corporation with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. The League receives all of its funds from donations,
Adoption Policy
All of our pets are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, immunized, and sterilized prior to adoption. We have the vet assess each animal's suitability as a pet as well.
