Beagle Basecamp
Our Mission
Beagle Basecamp rescues beagles in Arkansas and provides them with vet care, heartworm treatment and/or prevention, and places them in loving forever homes. The life of a hunting dog can be somewhat of a vicious cycle- cast aside by owners who can't get them to hunt, picked up by a shelter, adopted by more people who want them to hunt, etc. We are working to end the stigma of hunting breeds and show people what easy-going, fun dogs they can be.
Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in rescue! The following conditions must be met for adoption consideration with Beagle Basecamp:
- Must have FULLY fenced yard. NO EXCEPTIONS
- All current pets must be spayed/neutered (if over 8 months old), up to date on all vaccines, current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative.
- Home visits are conducted for all potential adopters.
- Vet references are checked for any current pets.
- All adoptions include a one week trial period after application is otherwise approved.
