Arkansans Assisting Homeless Animals
Our Mission
AAHA is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue group based in Central Arkansas.
MISSION:
Our mission is to improve the lives of animals in need by providing rescue, foster care, transportation, education, and adoption into loving homes.
OBJECTIVES:
•Place needy pets in foster and forever homes, including dogs, cats and other critters.
•Collaborate with other animal welfare organizations to help find good homes for pets in need – no matter where the pet is located or what organization it is with.
•Match each pet with its perfect home by assessing the pet’s temperament, evaluating the potential foster and adoptive home, and following up with the pet owner to ensure an enjoyable relationship between the owner and the pet.
•Provide basic education and training to the general public and to those who foster and/or adopt so that our pets receive proper care in their new homes and lessen the need of rescue.
A.A.H.A is a foster-based network that works toward ending the homeless pet population. We mostly rescue animals out of our local animal shelter but also take in various strays and owner surrenders. Unfortunately, we have limited space so we cannot help every needy animal. We adopt to families all over the United States. If transport can be arranged to your location then you can complete an application!! All animals adopted from A.A.H.A. are fully vetted, including (at the very minimum) spay/neuter, vaccinations, negative heartworm status, and microchip unless otherwise specified. Adopters must be 21 years of age or older.
