Cashew is a remarkable mare with a truly inspiring journey. Once feral and unhandled in Eastern Kentucky, she has come a long way, building trust and confidence in humans. She was recently started under saddle and her progress speaks volumes about her intelligence and willingness to learn.
Cashew was selected to participate in Asbury University's first annual Student Trainer Faceoff Competition in the fall of 2024, where she was started under saddle in front of an audience. She’s sure-footed, a natural with obstacles, and shows exciting potential for jumping. She's continued her under saddle training at the Center and working on steady rides.
This sound and athletic mare is ready to excel in any direction with continued training. Cashew will need a trainer-type home with experience starting horses. If you’re seeking a talented and versatile horse with a bright future, Cashew could be your perfect partner!
