2013 Appalachian Brumby Mare, 13.1h
Cashew is a formerly feral mare from Eastern Kentucky. She was unhandled and skeptical of people but has improved immensely, having now gained trust and confidence in humans. Cashew was selected to participate in Asbury University's first annual Student Trainer Faceoff Competition where she was started under saddle in view of an audience. She did extremely well, even ridden bareback. She is sure-footed, a natural at going over obstacles, and shows jumping potential. Cashew is sound and will be physically capable of going in any direction. She is available to a trainer-type home with a quiet confident hand.
