A couple years ago I was in a really bad place. I was very depressed and never really wanted to do anything but sleep. My parents surprised me with a trip to the animal shelter so they could adopt a ferret, which I had wanted for a while. Instead I found Loki, sitting in the corner of his cage. I was in love immediately. He sang all the way home. He may not be the most perfect bird in the world and he is extremely stubborn, but Loki brightens every day with his hilarious antics and personality. Loki has helped me to overcome my depression. He helped me when I needed it most, and I like to think I helped him, too. I have had him for a little over a year, but I can't imagine my life without him.
