When my Golden Britt passed from cancer, I was devastated. I cherished that dog because he was my first from Animal Friends (Pittsburgh). I wasn’t sure if I wanted another dog, until this beautiful white fluffy muffin came up on my screen. He had all of my old dog’s coloring and I felt a tug on my heart strings... I knew this dog named “Liam” had to come to me. The rescue, SHELL, was in Ohio not far from my sister. After writing an introduction about myself, my puppy goals and my dog history, I was approved. I had to go get him, but the winter roads kept me away. My sister offered to pick him up for me, had him looked over by her vet and brought him home to me.

Today, Augie is a titled NADD Dock Dog. A member of 3 Rivers Dock Dogs and on the Dock Dogs hall of fame. He has been competing since he was 4 months old and now he is 8 years old! We have been on the local tv news for our Dock Dog competition and have competed in 5 different states. We have also been invited to 3 Dock Dog World Wide competitions in Iowa. If it wasn’t for Petfinder I would never had been blessed with a truly amazing team and companion! Thank You - Augie Doggie and Jill
