Zoey Pomsky Madison, NJ

This beautiful Pomsky needs a home with a dog savvy person who is active and willing to continue with training. In her short life Zoey has been through a lot of trauma and it has affected her behavior. She was previously owned by a person with mental illness who was unable to provide Zoey with safe and stable environement. Although well-meaning her owner sent Zoey away to a board and train facility that used fear based training techniques that did way more harm than good. Zoey came back a fearful and traumatized dog that is now unsure of people and other dogs At the training facility she was also attacked by another dog. This dog really need a break and with the right person who will be patient and committed we think she can be a wonderful companion. Because of her past traumas we are looking for an adult only home. No cats. Zoey would likely benefit from being in a home with a calm and stable dog. She has been gooing to doggy daycare and is starting to understand that other dogs are not going to hurt her but she is still cautious. Because of her breed she would benefit from a home that can provide lots of physical and mental stimulation.
