Meet Zeus
Zeus
4yr old Bull Mastiff mix
Zeus is a sweet boy who has been in rescue for a long time, over a year. He is patiently waiting for the family of his dreams to come forward and adopt him and take him home forever. He is a mostly low energy dog and likes to snooze (and snore!) through most of the days but every now and then he gets a little burst of energy and wants to play. He likes to play with deflated soccer balls the most, and loves if you chase him while he holds it in his mouth. He goes on two short walks a day as he does not like long walks. On our walks he can be protective of his family so any body skateboarding past will be barked at and anybody that tries to approach us without a proper introduction will also be barked at. Once Zeus has met you he is your friend forever so part of his training to be continued in his new home will be to keep learning that not all humans are out to hurt him. At home, Zeus is the best companion. He is living with two adults and two kids and he loves to roam around looking for some one to chill out with. If there is a teenager lounging on the bed he’ll get right up beside them and snooze, if some one is watching tv he will climb up on the couch and snuggle. At 4 years old he has no puppy behaviour left. He doesn’t counter surf, he doesn’t go for the garbage, he doesn’t chew anything other than his no-hides, he doesn’t dig in the backyard and he can be left home alone for hours without being crated or having accidents. He knows lots of commands like sit and wait and shake a paw and he also knows the word for Pizza. Not sure how he learned that but if we say Pizza he rushes to the kitchen to see if there is any for him! Zeus is wonderful in the home with his family, everybody loves him, and he is a great protector of the house we all feel very safe with him in our corner. He is a big ol softie at heart and genuinely just wants to be loved. If he sounds like the perfect companion for you please get in touch with the rescue and fill in an application to meet him.
Zeus has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, neutered, heartworm tested and treated with Simperica Trio.
