Zeke Chihuahua & Shepherd Mix Gilbert, AZ

Meet Zeke and Ziggy! This bonded pair of handsome boys are approximately 6-1/2 years old and about 15 pounds each. They are Chihuahua blends who joined us recently from the Humane Society of Yuma. They are in search of a home that will open their hearts to both boys, as they definitely need to stay together. Zeke and Ziggy have brought us so much joy during their time in foster care. It's clear they share a strong bond as they enjoy spending every moment together. Zeke has mastered potty training, and Ziggy is almost there. They are friendly and enjoy meeting new people, greeting them warmly before returning to their favorite spot on their bed. They are improving on walks, though their leashes sometimes get tangled due to their excitement about being outside. They are incredibly curious about everything but don't bark at people or other dogs during walks. At night, they sleep peacefully together in their kennel and wake up refreshed in the morning. They adore being close to their foster parents and happily follow them around the house. Zeke and Ziggy will make wonderful, loving companions. If there will be children in their new home, they should be older children 12+ since they can startle easily. Zeke and Ziggy are neutered, licensed, microchipped and current on vaccines and their adoption fee is $200 for both boys.

We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form - this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog.

Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
