Meet Zalton
This handsome face is Zalton, he is 6 years old and a sweet and loving soul that is looking for his last forever home.
He belonged to a person whose health declined and they were unable to care for him any longer. Zalton came into rescue close to 200 lbs. he is now at a healthy weight and has increased his mobility and muscle tone.
He would do best in a home with a Dane or giant breed savvy owner, no children as he has never been around them. He will attempt to play for short periods of time with other dogs, but mostly, just wanders the yard sniffing and loving life.
He is protective of his owner around people he doesn't know and would do best in an environment without a lot of traffic. He was raised with a single lady and spent most of his life inside with her.
He will get in and out of the car when asked, but gets a little nervous during the ride. He likes to go out and explore the property, but is not a dog that would require a large yard. His diet will need to be monitored again future weight gain. As long as he is getting regular walks, exercise, etc He would do fine.
