Meet Zacharia

Do you hear what I hear ??? Which is nothing, because I am deaf . But don't give up on me and keep scrolling like everyone else does, because that doesn't stop me from being the sweetest, loving, playful pup you will ever meet.

I was found dumped in a box when I was just over 3 weeks old, and my foster momma bottle fed me until I could eat mush on my own. I was almost adopted, but then the vets told my Mom that I couldn't hear, and my adopters were too intimidated to take on a deaf boy. Now I am over seven months old and still have not found my forever family. I promise you my impairment doesn't stop me from being like every other puppy - Happy and playful. I LOVE to play with other dogs, and kids & I have never met a stranger I didn't like. I know some sign language too, like sit, stay & come. Please give me a chance and come meet me. I promise I will be a good boy for you. Love Zac.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
