Meet Ylva
Ylva is a 3 year old Schnauzer/German Shepherd mix. She came to our rescue with her housemate, Vidar, after they had escaped from a dog sitter on Thanksgiving. Their short term stay turned into an owner surrender due to their parents' divorce.
Ylva's life story reflects her versatility-- she even has a history of cohabitating with cats, dogs, and livestock. She is playful and curious, but also loyal and obedient. She would be an ideal match for families seeking a well-trained canine companion, a friend for a current dog, or a single dog to make you feel safer walking at night, etc. Ylva has just the right amount of protective street-sense, common sense, and confidence (not to mention a big bark when appropriate!) to bolster a sense of safety for a family with younger kids or someone who lives alone. Ylva is a truly adaptable and well-mannered young lady!
Ylva's local adoption fee is $250. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
