Xena Australian Shepherd Muncie, IN

Hi! My name is Xena and I am a 8-`10 month old petite Australian shepherd. Like the superhero I am named after, I am a true warrior princess! I was found in a ditch by the side of the road in San Antonio Texas. I couldn't move because of a fracture in my back. The shelter suspects I was hit by a car. I spent 3 weeks in the shelter unable to stand or walk. Luckily I was rescued by Herding Haven and brought to Indiana where I received medical attention and have been undergoing physical therapy. I can now stand, walk and even run (although it's more of a cute little "skip, hop") with the other dogs in my foster home. I am the happiest little girl, with gorgeous green eyes that will will pierce your heart and bore deep into your soul. True to my Aussie breed, I am velcro pup. I want to be where you are and involved in everything you are doing. I LOVE other dogs and am really hoping my forever home has at least one other canine buddy to hang out with. I am really smart and learn things quickly. Balls are my favorite toys and I'm learning the game of fetch. I am up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, walk nicely on a leash and am crate-trained.
