Meet Wylie
What can we say about Wylie?
He has a sad past, but has never let that hold him back. He truly is a happy dog who will be there for whoever decides to save him through thick and thin. He's so loyal, loving and well mannered that it is hard to not love him. The real shame is that no one has ever even considered giving him a chance. We can picture him in a home so easily, and it shocks us with every month that goes by that he has not found that yet. Wylie loves tug-o-war, loves lounging on the couch, and loves being a little shadow to the people he loves. Honestly, we could see him as a therapy dog because of his loving personality. Really, anything would be better than his current situation. He is currently deteriorating pretty badly in the shelter and spends most of his day spinning and pacing around in his kennel. Mentally, this place is wearing him down and he badly needs out. While Wylie is great with humans and would be great for a home with kids, we do not feel that he would do well housed in a home with other dogs. This is really his only flaw and he wasn't always this way.
Wylie is around two years old and 45 pounds. He has received his first vaccines in shelter, has been dewormed for two rounds and has tested positive for heartworm disease. Thanks to an amazing donor, Wylie has already been neutered!
