This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

UPDATE: Winston got to enjoy a field trip to a temp fosters home but sadly due to lack of fosters he's awaiting his furever home in boarding.

Here is the update from his overnight stay with a temp foster: Winston is an amazing dude. He is so well behaved! He slept on a dog bed in our bedroom last night and didn’t make a peep all night. I had to make him get up to go potty this morning. lol he gets along with cats as well. He did want to play with them in the beginning but now he doesn’t pay any attention to them when we go outside and they’re all standing at the door ? he really enjoys playing and gets the zoomies often when he gets excited. He’s so cute. He loves playing with other dogs and kids. He has excellent manners. He pulls some on leash but that could be corrected quickly and he has been cooped up in boarding for nearly a year so understandable. I haven’t been able to get him to sit or shake lol. He is def potty trained. I would consider him pretty average energy. He does like to run and play but he also likes to curl up and chill. He’s still in bed in my room lol I don’t think he’s a morning person



Meet Winston - a 1 1/2 yrs old, Ibizan Hound / Lab mix, who weighs 50 pounds (as of 5/12/24). Winston was adopted from a local animal control in October 2023. Since then his owner has sadly been diagnosed with health issues and needs to find a new home for Winston. This sweet boy has lived indoors the whole time and is house broken, leash trained, and knows basic commands like 'sit' and 'shake'. He does really well with his previous owner's 7 month old grandchild and other children he has met. Overall, he is a super friendly guy who loves to play and eat treats. His favorite activity is riding in the car as your co-pilot! Winston is looking for a family to love. We would recommend an active family who will be able to bring Winston on adventures and show him the world - walks, hikes, parks, etc! We know there is another loving family out there who is looking to scoop Winston up!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
