Meet Winston
Food: Sweet Potato and Venison
Medication: Eye drops and Monthly flea/tick/heart worm prevention
Winston is a super cool EB. He's only 6 but he's an old soul. He came into rescue breathing terribly, double cherry eye, and needed double entropion repair also. So, he got the bulldog special and he's all fixed up and ready to find his forever home now. When I say his energy level is couch potato, I mean he's made it his life's mission. If you have a couch he'll be your best friend. Dude knows how to sleep! His foster home has 5 dogs but after a few pounces at them he loses interest. He loves to sniff in the back yard and go for evening strolls. He also likes to chase the Jolly Ball around the back yard. He has showed some interest in chewing on filled shin bones, but again, loses interest. See a pattern here? But wait, did you say treats?! Treats and butt scratches are his two favorite things in the world. In true EB form he also loves meal times. He does try to steal the other dog's food so you have to stand guard until everyone is done eating, he corrects very easily and doesn't challlenge a stern "NO" at all. But he will give you sad puppy eyes after a stern "NO". He's a free spirit and prefers not to be crated. We've not been able to nail down any enclosure that makes him happy. They all immediately make him angry and he tries to tear his face off ramming his head into whatever the enclosure is. In his foster home, he's adjusted well to free roaming. He sleeps most nights in the dog bed in the living room but would prefer to sleep in our bed if we would let him. During the day our cameras catch him sunning on the rug and sleeping in the recliner, rinse and repeat until someone gets home to give him treats and butt scratches. Not one single potty accident in the house from this guy. He goes to the door and looks out the window when he needs to go potty. Whatever family is chose will be getting a gem. He's absoulutely perfect!
