Meet Winston - a charming one-year-old dog with a spunky personality. This handsome boy currently weighs 52 pounds and has a unique, yet adorable, clumsiness to him, which could be attributed to his teenage phase. But don't let that fool you, Winston is a friendly and welcoming pup, who greets new people with a wagging tail and a wide smile. Winston is a playful dog who loves all kinds of toys, but his favorite ones are those that squeak. He's quite intelligent and learns new things every day. He already knows how to "sit" on command and has been trained to get on his bed and wait for food. He's even working on not pulling on the leash when walking, which shows his eagerness to learn. Winston is a happy-go-lucky dog who loves to frolic and have a good time. He enjoys the outdoors and exploring his surroundings, making him the perfect companion for a hike or a walk in the park. Winston has been vaccinated and is negative for heartworm and Lyme disease, making him a healthy and safe addition to any family.

Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (dhpp), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm. Shelter public hours for visitation are Tuesday-Saturday 11am-4pm. Applications can be emailed or faxed if requested. If coming from out of town, please call ahead to make sure the dog is still available. Approved rescues also welcome!!!!
