Winnifred Bernese Mountain Dog Columbus, OH

Winnifred (Winnie) is a 6 year old, 77-pound Bernese Mountain Dog. She may have applications in progress but is currently available. Winnie is a puppy mill mom and is still learning about life - though she is doing great and quickly learning how wonderful life can be.

Like typical mill releases, she can be shy with meeting new people. She is becoming more confident in her foster home and will seek out pets and will now take treats from her foster parents hands. She also does well with the older (ages 5 and up) kids in her foster home and will lay down for pets and love from them. She is still nervous with loud sounds and movements and will need time to adjust. She walks ok on a leash in the backyard because the street traffic is too much for her right now. She would do best with a fenced yard or long tie out as she loves sunbathing outside. She is indifferent to the dogs and cat in her foster home.

Adoption fee is $375.00 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
