Meet Willow
Willow has had a rough start in life - she was removed from her home during an investigation into animal abuse, but she’s ready to turn the page and become the loving family dog she’s meant to be! This kind-hearted girl is gentle and affectionate, especially for her size, and everyone who meets her falls head over heels for her sweet personality. She is a miracle dog and is truly resilient!
Willow has a strong desire to please and craves connection, always eager for affection and praise. She is dog friendly and would love the chance to make friends and play!
Willow will thrive with a family who can give her the structure she deserves, including training to help her build confidence and learn new skills. She is currently in a 6 week board and train program to learn basic skills (including crate training), gain confidence and manage anxiety. She will also be tested for reactions to other small animals, but so far, she has shown appropriate disinterest in small animals like bunnies.
We believe Willow is around 3 years old. She was recently spayed and microchipped. She is receiving vaccinations while in our care and being brought to an appropriate weight for her breed.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to blossom and want to make a difference for a dog in need, Willow is waiting to meet you! Please fill out an application here: https://www.wahkiakumanimals.org/adopt-a-pet
