Meet Willow

Introducing Willow! This precious puppy came to rescue after being given away by her breeder in SE Missouri. She was born with a genetic defect that makes her incontinent. However, what she's lacking in function, she makes up for in personality and spirit. She doesn't know she's considered special needs... she just knows she's a happy puppy that is living her best life. She wears a diaper and easily tolerates changes and never tries to take it off. She doesn't know a life without one, it's just a normal part of her day. Willow is THE sweetest puppy you will ever meet. She is happy, friendly, playful and absolutely adorable. Her coat is as soft as silk and she has eyelashes so long, all the girls are jealous!

She LOVES toys, bones, playing tug, playing chase, food and snacks. She is best friends with the Chihuahua in her foster home and they play all day long! When she's tired, she snuggles up with the older Springer in her foster home and takes a nap. Sometimes when she's super tired she'll put herself to bed in her crate.
She is crated when foster mom is not home, she sleeps the night and chews only on her "stuff". She doesn't bother things that don't belong to her, except foster moms slippers which she likes to relocate to her puppy bed.

Willow needs a home with someone who is home more often than not and is willing to accept she might always have to wear a diaper. She will need regular grooming, just like any other cocker. She's ready to share her giant heart and spirit with someone extra special. Is that special someone you? Please fill out an application if you're interested in making Willow your new best friend, www.placingpawsrescue.org.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
