Meet Wilbur
Meet Wilbur!
This tan Chiweenie mix puppy is 12-weeks old and currently weighs 10 pounds. Wilbur’s mom weighs 20 pounds and Wilbur is expected to be a bit bigger than his mom. Wilbur entered our rescue after we saved his mom when she was very pregnant - Wilbur and his 5 siblings were born in their foster home.
Wilbur is a typical puppy - Sassy, Silly, and SPUNKY. He can usually be found “investigating” all the things and reporting his findings back to his foster mom and foster siblings. He is joyful and sweet and perfect for someone who loves to laugh at puppy antics. When he is done playing, he loves to tuck himself into a big fluffy dog bed and blanket to take a long nap.
He is working hard on house training in his foster home, but like all puppies, he has a small bladder and currently is only able to go without a break for 3-4 hours during the day and 5 overnight. His ideal home will have someone ready to continue a consistent routine/structure with house training and learning manners.
Puppy training is a time consuming process that requires patience, and his perfect home will understand that he needs consistency, structure, and training and be able to put that time in while he is young.
Wilbur’s current favorites include:
Playing with toys
Wresting/Running with his siblings
Exploring outside/“stealing” leaves and sticks
Puppy Treats
Hugs and Snuggles
Belly Rubs
Naps
Wilbur’s ideal forever home will have another playful dog or dogs and maybe even some dog savvy/older kids of his very own! He is good with other dogs and cats. Wilbur will not be adopted to a home without another accepting dog. With continued puppy training, this handsome dude is going to make a great life-long companion.
Wilbur deserves the best forever home and like always we are not first come first serve- we will want a mutual adoption decision from both the potential adopter and Wilbur himself. We are always looking for the very best fit for both you AND the dog.
Wilbur is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $225.
