"Lay a whisper on my pillow..." and we can close our eyes and dream away. My name is Whisper. a 31-pound, 1 year old Shepherd-mix girl searching for my happily ever after. My early life wasn't happy, or safe. Before I was rescued, I was shot. I was so lucky that the bullet entered and exited without doing major damage. I just know that's a sign that my perfect forever home is waiting for me.

My rescuers also determined that I'm deaf. GREAT news on that front. . . I was recently accepted into the Pups 4 Parole (P4P) program! I'll be away for several weeks working with a person who understands my specific needs and desire to learn. With love and guidance, I'll become the very best companion.

My ideal home will be with people who are patient, kind and consistent. I will definitely need a canine family member to continue to learn from, as well as a privacy-fenced yard. I get along with cats and would be fine with older, respectful kids. Everyone in my forever family will need to be onboard with helping me continue what I'm learning at P4P so I can be the best possible version of Whisper.
