Whiskey is a sweet, soulful pup who's ready for a fresh start after his previous guardian's lifestyle change brought him back into our care at HSCC. This lovable dog is searching for a new best friend and a stable, loving home where he can settle in and thrive.

Whiskey is a true Velcro dog with a heart of gold - he loves being close to his favorite people and will always want to stick by your side. Whiskey is naturally aware and vigilant, and he's a bit cautious around new faces, unfamiliar situations, and certain noises - like the sound of loud cars or sudden movements outside. His reactions in these situations are predictable, and while they might startle him, he's quick to recover when given a calm, reassuring presence. With gentle redirection and positive reinforcement, Whiskey responds well and settles back into his peaceful, loving nature. Once he feels secure, his playful side shines through, and his soulful eyes and dark coat will melt your heart. His endearing "pawsonality" will have you smiling every day.

Whiskey thrives on routine, gentle affection, and the simple joys of life - whether it's playing games, taking peaceful walks, or snuggling up for some downtime. Dogs: Whiskey enjoys the company of other dogs! If you have a dog at home, we will set up a meet and greet prior to heading home.

Cats: Whiskey has lived with cats in a previous home and tolerated their company.

Children: Whiskey may be most successful in a home with teens and adults.
