This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

This sweet 1 ½-year-old, 28-pound Black Lab/Terrier mix from Tennessee is a true companion in every way. She’s past the crazy puppy stage but still full of life and loves zooming around the yard or hitting the trails for a hike. And when it’s time to relax? Wavy is your ideal partner for couch cuddles and Netflix marathons!

Wavy is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, and she’s becoming a pro on the leash. She’s also wonderfully independent, keeping herself entertained with a toy, bone, or chew when you’re busy. Of course, she’ll never say no to joining you on a coffee run (pup cups are her favorite treat!). Wavy deserves a loving home where she can be spoiled, cherished, and adored. Our southern rescue partner got a call to help 15 dogs (momma and puppies) who had been loose in a trailer park) Wavy is one of the moms who had pups in September. She looks exactly like Windi Momma who is also posted (they are basically twins except for the position of their one white sock).

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
