Meet Walnut
Meet Walnut, aka Wally... this beautiful 2.5 year old, 60 pound, doodle mix is the biggest snuggler and lover dog you’ll ever meet. He is potty and crate trained (and mostly leash trained)!
He loves cuddles and pets, and likes to sleep in the bed with his humans (at the foot of the bed). In the mornings, wake up a few minutes early for extra cuddles and pets as Wally will climb up the bed for more love. He sometimes thinks he is a lap dog he loves cuddles so much, such a goofy dog! If you’re sad, Walnut will give cuddles to cheer you up and is a great emotional support.
Walnut also loves to be outside, play fetch, and run in the fenced yard daily, even in the winter as he loves snow! You will laugh with joy watching him run, pounce, and then slide in the snow in his coat and boots. He does need lots of play time with his humans, whether outside or inside.
He knows some commands and follows them well (sit, stay, shake, down, come).
Walnut would do fantastic in a house where he is the only dog and no little kids so he can have all the love and play time to himself.
If you are interested in Walnut the first step is to go to our website and fill out an application.

ADOPTION FEE: $375.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
