Meet Wally
Meet Wally! This resilient little soul has endured a heartbreaking journey to find safety. Wally was rescued from a devastating situation where a serious hoarder was evicted, leaving behind seven dogs and countless cats. These poor animals, including Wally, had to fend for themselves and barely survived by squeezing through a hole in the fence. Sadly, most of his companions were hit by cars during their desperate attempts to escape.
Wally, who is likely from a previous litter and older than the other puppies, is about 6-10 months and weighs a petite, lanky 14 pounds. Despite the trauma he's faced, Wally’s heart remains pure and full of love. His gentle nature and unbreakable spirit show just how strong and forgiving he is, even after going through such unimaginable hardship.
Wally has a unique appearance, with a shorter coat that has a different texture from his siblings. We believe he's a terrier mix, with some minimal shedding. He’s working hard on his house and crate training and is incredibly food-motivated, which will make continued training a breeze.
Wally is a social butterfly who adores the company of other dogs, both big and small. He even gets along with cats! Given his past, he would thrive in a home with other pets, children, or someone who will shower him with the love and attention he so deserves. Wally is still healing, both physically and emotionally. When he was rescued, he was infested with some of the biggest fleas we've ever seen, so full of blood that they seemed to be draining the life out of him. But Wally is a fighter. He’s been neutered, fully vaccinated, and is now flea-free and ready for his forever home.
Wally’s story is one of survival against the odds. He’s blossoming more each day in foster care, showing us that with a little love and patience, he’s ready to leave his painful past behind and embrace a future filled with joy. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who has a lot of love to give, Wally is your boy. He’s ready to be spoiled and cherished in a home where he will never be abandoned again.
