Meet Wallace!! This guy is as cute as a teddy bear but PLEASE don't try and squeeze him! In typical Shar-Pei fashion, Wallace isn't interested in strangers. He takes his time to warm up with new people and requires some delicious treats (warm chicken is his favorite). Wallace is looking for a calmer, experienced home that can give him time to open up on his own terms. Once Wallace is comfortable with you, he is a goofball that loves to be chased around and gets the zoomies when outside. He loves to be pet, especially on his velvet-soft head and butt! He does not tolerate this touch from strangers and is very flinchy and will give warning if he's uncomfortable. Wallace walks well on leash, is totally housebroken, seems to really like other dogs, and takes treats SO gently! We don't know his history since he arrived as a stray but a few things make us assume he was a pet store puppy that grew up in a family unfamiliar with the breed. Although Wallace isn't fond of strangers touching him, he is find being around them as long as they don't try to grab his ADORABLE squishy face- which is a hard task. In a breed experienced and understanding home, Wallace will thrive and become more confident and comfortable in his own skin!
