Wackadoodle- what a wild and crazy girl she is! This little gymnast is a climber- of fences, kennels, and furniture! She wants to be with her people and explore her world, but she has to learn to keep her feet on the ground for safety! She is good about staying with her people once she knows who they are, but must be watched for climbing!

We are seeking a privacy fenced yard for Wackadoodle in the hopes that she can't get her toes into it to climb. We are also seeking an experienced dog owner who does not have children visiting regularly so that her family can concentrate on keeping her contained and building trust for the first few weeks.

Wackadoodle is friendly, enjoys her people and can also enjoy time on her own. She is a busy dog and a restful dog. She is learning to walk on a leash and needs to continue going for walks and visiting new places to build her courage. Right now she is a bit insecure, which is not a normal Yorkie trait!

Note: the following is required of an applicant for Wackadoodle: you must be an experienced pet owner as an adult, you must have a full privacy fenced yard and you must live in the Raleigh area. If you do not meet these requirements, please save us and yourself time and do not apply.

This dog attends Cary Meet and Greet events! Not all pets in our program attend every event. We do not arrange meetings with our pets, outside Meet and Greet events, without an approved application.

All HEART dogs have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. Some have been vaccinated for Bordatella. All are tested for heartworms and, if they test positive, have either been treated or provided alternative slow-kill treatment. Dogs are provided monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Dogs are also provided additional medical care, as needed. This care may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, treatment for infection and other medical needs.
