Meet Vista
Vista
Vista was such a delight at her recent neurology specialist appointment and gave everyone kisses there too.
Dr Lavely and staff adored our girl, as does everyone who meets her. There haven’t been any real advances in the shunt situation since the last time we had a hydrocephalic pup there. Her occasional pain is unusual and seems to have mostly resolved. We did blood and urine to rule out any potential infection (rare but possible) and if things decline we can consider some potential medicines that might help. She did end up with a urinary tract infection that’s probably unrelated and is being treated.
Vista is a super sweet, social and outgoing Malinois type girl with Hydrocephalus (water on the brain). Her enlarged head is the result of excessive spinal fluid in her skull. Most pups with the condition have a greatly shortened lifespan but there are exceptions. We’re all about quality of life and as long as our girl is having fun, we’ll keep loving and caring for her.
Right now, today, she’s having a beautiful life.
