This is Virgo, he is a Chesapeak Bay Retriever mix and was born around November 1, 2012. He is about 45 lbs now and should gain just a few more pounds to be at his adult weight of about 55 lbs.
Virgo was found at a dump ground, hungry and dehydrated. He has come a long way in a short amount of time! He has a very happy friendly personality and gets on very well with cats, other dogs and children.
Virgo is energetic and is working on doggy manners. He likes to take very long walks and loves to run in a large area where he can make big circles! (dog park?). Because of his energy, it might be best if the family has children they be over 8 years old. But anything is possible with this dogs wonderful disposition!
Virgo is crate trained, house trained, does well on a leash and has recall and comes when asked. He is an amazing dog, and he was saved because someone out there needs a great dog! Is that person you?

Adoption fees:
$275.00: Puppies 6 months and under
$275.00: Dogs under 30 pounds
$200.00: Dogs over 30 pounds. over 6 months There will be a $50.00 refund with proof of obedience class.



Adoption fee includes: microchipping, spay/neuter, initial vaccinations including rabies if age appropriate, HW testing for adult dogs over 6 months and deworming, HW preventative and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. ARVSS encourages adoptors to visit their own vet as soon as possible after the adoption.
