Viking Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Taylor, TX

Viking here! I’m in a fabulous foster home, but I still need a home of my very own! A FUREVER home where I know I’ll never have to leave.

I’m doing great at my foster home. They’ve learned I can’t live in a house with cats, but I’m a-okay passing ‘em on a leash. I’m doing so good here they’ve taken me on a little road trip! That’s right! A vacay to the mountains, if you can believe it or not. Super excited to channel my inner Viking and brave the rugged wilderness, but I obvs made sure they packed my kibble, dog biscuits, and favorite cuddle blankies.

I'm SUCH a cuddle bug! Ask anyone -- my fosters, shelter volunteers, literally anyone. I'll sit right beside you and rest my head on your chest like we're filming a doggone Petsmart commercial. I also like to plant myself on your lap but in a gentle way that humans don’t find the least bit obtrusive! To be honest, they welcome it! They always tell me so. To date, my hobbies include walks, treats, making dog friends, all the humans, and playing fetch! The humans say I walk so well on a leash! I guess I really impress them by being so chill for a young cattle dog. Don’t get me wrong, I'm full of youthful energy! But I'm also super smart, responsive, bond fast with humans, and am completely content to just sit with you a bit and watch the world go by. I've heard the humans say I'm a "keeper", whatever that means. I can tell by the way they say it, it's definitely very good! I cant wait to find that special someone to keep me FOREVER! ??
