Meet Vada
Hi! My name is Vada!
I am likely a little under 1 year old, around 40 lbs. I *may* be part Border Collie but likely a mix of some sort.
My foster parents tell me I am super smart and a very quick learner. I am a good protector of the house/and my foster family, and get along great with the two boys in my foster family (ages 5 and 8). I can be shy/timid and vocal at first when meeting new people but I just had a lot of life changes. It only took me a couple days to make myself at home here. I am still nervous around larger groups of people but am social so just need time to get comfortable.
My foster family has another dog who I LOVE! I do have some energy so running in the fenced in yard is the best. I would love to find a family that has a playmate for me to do that with. I love to be outside, love going on walks, and really have enjoyed my first experiences with snow. I have been working on my leash skills and with some more training, will be a great walking/jogging companion.
I am doing very good with crate training day/night, but if I had my way I would snuggle with the boys in my foster family at night. I am doing well with house training and am treat motivated so will learn behaviors quickly.
I love chewing on nylabones!!
I don't know how I feel about cats only because I haven't been around them much, so would like to introduce myself to them before moving in.
My foster family describes me as fun, spunky, shy for a minute, sweet, and happy!
I am spayed and up to date on all shots.
I would love to meet your family to see if I am the perfect fit or if you have any questions, you can ask to see if my foster family can answer.
