Uno German Shepherd Dog Hood River, OR

Poor Uno has had a really rough start to life. At some point in his short life he was likely hit by a car, and has had a fractured leg for months at this point. LUCKILY we have one of the best Orthopedic Surgeons right here in our little town, Dr. Steven Petersen of Veterinary Surgery and Sports Medicine. Uno required a very serious surgery, because of the multiple fractures and the fact that he never received treatment for his fractures, the best course of action was to amputate the unusable leg. Dr. Petersen has thoroughly evaluated Uno and given him a clean bill of health after the procedure and now Uno is looking for his forever home.

We have spent a lot of time with Uno and he is a lovely boy, he is a typical "teenage" dog who always wants to be doing something and will wander off if he is bored, but he loves all people and has been doing great meeting all of our volunteers at the shelter. He loves to go for his daily walks and lounges in his big enclosure in the office for the rest of the day. While Uno LOVES his humans, he should find a home where he can relax as the only canine of the house.

To help our sweet dogs all find "Homes for the Holidays", we have reduced our adoption fees for the months of November and December. Uno's adoption fee has been reduced from $350 to $150.
