Meet Ona Luna
Ona Luna (or simply Luna) is searching for her forever home! She’d love to have another friendly dog (or two) and a few humans to play with and keep her company. If her humans were home part time, that would be neat too! She enjoys the company of cats, and tries very hard to be best friends with the cats in her foster home. She makes a great hiking companion but needs to be walked on a leash as she tries to chase lizards, grasshoppers, squirrels, and leaves blowing in the wind. Luna enjoys snuggling in bed and on the couch. She also appreciates the opportunity to do zoomies in the yard and play with all of the toys in her toy bin!
Luna was found on the Navajo reservation as a stray. She is smart and food motivated, so is doing well at figuring out life as a pet! She goes in crate, sits, and lays down on command. Although she is small herself, a home with small children is not recommended as she is still learning not to jump up on humans. Since she so quickly became attached to her foster home, her foster parents think she might take a little while to settle into her future adopter’s home.
Luna is 1-1.5 years old and 30 pounds. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and treated for parasites. For more information, please submit an application at https://www.blackhathumanesociety.org/apply-now/.
