Meet Tyra
Adopt Tyra – Your New Best Friend!
Meet beautiful Tyra, a smart and affectionate puppy looking for her forever home! Tyra already knows several commands, including “sit,” “down,” “leave it,” and “twirl,” and she responds to “kennel up” to go into her crate. She’s fully crate trained, making her transition into your home smooth and easy.
Tyra is playful and full of energy but turns into a cuddle bug when she gets sleepy. She absolutely loves munching on carrots as a treat! If you’re looking for a loyal, well-trained, and cuddly companion, Tyra is the perfect fit. Ready to bring this sweet girl home? Tyra can’t wait to meet you!
Tyra, born around 5/9/24, is house-trained, crate-trained and leash-trained! She is good with other dogs, cats and kids. She has a gentle demeanor and would be great with kids! Tyra would make an awesome 1st puppy or 1st family dog!
Tyra is fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and spayed included in her adoption fee.
If you are interested in Tyra, the first step is to go to our website and submit an application.

BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy.
SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery.
ADOPTION FEE: $450.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.
ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
