If I could talk, the first thing I would say is, "THANK YOU FOR RESCUING ME!!"
Hey there! My name is Twix (Yes, like the candy bar). I am a 4-year-old, 72-pound, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix fella. I was found at an abandoned house in Springfield. I was dragging a cable and had recently been stabbed. You'd think after enduring that kind of trauma, I would be apprehensive and unfriendly, but that is definitely NOT the case! I am a total sweetheart! I love any sort of attention - belly rubs, being brushed, walks, car rides, and of course treats!
I want to be with my people as much as possible, so I would love a family who will take me on adventures to all kinds of dog-friendly places. I get a long great with other dogs, but since I am a big boy and love to play, dogs closer to my size would be best. I am still working on potty training, but I am SO close to getting it. I am a strong boy, and I tend to pull a bit when being walked, so it would be best for me to wear a harness.
My forever home needs a fenced yard for me to run and play in. No apartment life for me. A canine buddy would be nice too, but I could be fine without one, as long as I get plenty of love and attention from my people. I haven't met any cats or kids yet, but I can be tested with either or both if needed.
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
