This big goofy fella is Tux (AKA Ding-Dong)
He is just about the goofiest boy in town!
He showed up at a farm in Moxee a couple of months ago and he landed in just the right spot for a better start to his new life.
Tux is a big boy at 80 pounds! He looks like he works out and he is all dressed up for a black tie event and ready to impress. We believe he is a boxer lab mix (uses his feet a lot) with some pitbull in the mix and is 10-12 mos old. He is neutered and UTD on his shots including rabies.
He is one of those dogs you are comfortable doing anything with from the moment you meet him. He has been with kids ages 2,3,4,5 and 10 years (grandkids of his rescuers) he loves kids! he is with 2 cats and does great, he loves the 4 year old Labradoodle at his foster home and has play dates with the daughters 2 year old bulldog where it’s nonstop playing.
Tux is an outside dog so far and spends his nights in an outside kennel run where he has never had an accident, he waits to be let outside to potty and does not mark or lift his leg (he squats to potty)
He has been around homing pigeons and just looks at them.
Tux is loose on acreage during the day and doesn’t leave the area. He knows SIT, STAY and SHAKE. Rides well in the car.
He walks on a leash and does need work as he is a strong boy. Tux will jump up and is inquisitive and will get down when told.
He is described as Funny, Playful and Happy.

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
