TRUFFLES is a cute little Pit Bull! She is 5 years old and she weighs 52 lbs.
"I'm Truffles! I’m in search of my very own family who loves cuddles and can give me endless belly rubs. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite!! We can be anywhere and I’ll just roll over asking anyone who will oblige. I’ve decided that I absolutely adore being the center of attention so I’m asking to be the only pet, but I promise to fill your days with lots of love and laughter.
I’m a good girl on my walks! I never pull and I’m up for saying hello to anyone. I wouldn’t mind a few good toys and a soft bed to call my own too!! I’m just waiting for the right family to find me and I promise to be the most loyal loving girl you could ever dream of! "
Sadly, TRUFFLES tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we’d love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, Truffles will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
