Trixie German Shepherd Dog & Husky Mix Olathe, KS

We often wonder how it would affect us, as humans, if we were in the world completely alone. If we had no one to show us love, kindness or supply us with shelter and food. How would we function if we then found ourselves with a family to protect and care for with absolutely no help. What would we be like?

That is what happened to Trixie. We have no idea how long she was on her own. We do know she took wonderful care of her little family. She has no reason to trust anyone so it is going to take her a bit to get there. She has a big heart and as soon as she sees her people are to be trusted, she will love them forever.

Trixie is believed to be a 4-year-old, Shepherd/Husky mix and currently weighs 50 lbs. She is already house and crate trained. Trixie has mastered the sit and is working on her leash manners. This lady is very athletic and can clear a fence in one leap, therefore, she will require a leash walks or a tie out to stay safe.

Trixie takes her time before welcoming doggie friends into her play group. Slow introductions are a must when brining in a new friend. No cats for this girl. Trixie's toy of choice MUST have a squeaker. Come on, what is a toy without one? She is also not comfortable around children so a kiddo free home would be ideal for her. Since this lovely lady never learned to trust humans, she tends to be reactive to strangers and needs plenty of time to warm up.

Trixie is a total goof ball and likes nothing more than to be with her favorite humans. Trixie is looking for a home that will allow her plenty of time to decompress and willing to understand her "trust issues."
