Meet sweet Trixie, a 9-10 year old Terrier mix that came to the Yolo Shelter very neglected. A sweeter and gentler dog you would be hard pressed to find. Our wonderful vet shaved her and she is now spayed, vaccinated and chipped.
Trixie loves soft food, wandering and exploring the house and yard but is partly blind. She is 100% potty trained and since housed in a small kennel at the shelter, she will not eat till she can get out and do her business. We try to get her twice a day. Rest of the time she sleeps deeply and relaxes calmly. But she knows my voice ( and several
Other staff's and volunteers) and cocks her head to make sure she is hearing correctly as she wakes and wags her little skinny tail and the sweet face lights up !!
She's doing well in foster care and she is coming out of her shell. She is but very sweet and loving. She hardly ever barks, loves everyone, both human and doggie buddies. Trixie would do best with a retired person or couple or other owners who would be home and available often to give her love and attention.
