Meet Trix - a just over one year old, 35 pound Spitz/Yellow Lab (maybe fox :) gorgeous gal who was found as a stray in Mississippi.

Her foster mom says "Trix is a playful gal that loves all humans that she meets and especially kids! Wow does she loves kids and is gentle with even the smallest children. She enjoys her toys and interacting with other dogs. She does well on a leash but would benefit from additional training. She will make a wonderful running buddy! Trix will get the zoomies and run around and play (so cute) but then she is also happy to nap after she wears those zoomies out. She would very much enjoy a high energy/active family. She can be your one and only with exercise or add to your pack. Trix has been living with a cat but can be very playful so she will need a dog savvy cat. She does will in her crate and is housebroken as well. She does well in the car and also enjoyed the water.. This gorgeous girl is going to make a northern family so happy!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
