Meet Tosha
Personality: Energetic, snuggler, patient, adaptable, gentle, smart, adventurous, good running partner, easygoing, quiet, affectionate, calm, and playful.
Tosha is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves being involved in whatever her people are doing. She's playful, quick to learn, and full of puppy energy, often bouncing around to get other dogs to join in the fun. At home, she'll love to play a good game of tug-of-war with you -- and you'll have to let her win. With a little more leash training, she'd make a great running partner.
She's incredibly gentle and loves to cuddle on the couch, making her a wonderful companion for quiet moments at home. Tosha is respectful of household boundaries and is generally quiet. She does have a dramatic "awoo" when left alone, but quickly settles in her crate. She's a little nervous around young kids, so she's best for a home with adults only for now.
Tosha is house trained and is learning basic commands such as "sit," with the help of peanut butter, one of her favorite treats. With her adventurous and affectionate spirit, Tosha is sure to bring love and excitement to her forever home. Could that be you? Apply today to meet Tosha!
Tosha was seized with three other dogs due to neglect; she was found chained.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
