Tophey Border Collie Mix Thompson's Station, TN

Tophey is a border collie or border collie mix who was born around mid July. He is the runt of the litter and will likely weigh around 30 pounds when grown as his momma is only around 35 pounds. He came to us from an unfortunate hoarding situation and has some hair loss on his legs and feet but the hair is expected to grow back. Tophey will do best with a family that is energetic and active and will give him plenty of exercise as well as mental stimulation and training. Due to the nature of the border collie breed, he is mouthy and can be expected to herd and nip as he grows and thus would not be a good fit for very young children.

Tophey is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. He will be adopted with a neuter agreement and the reimbursement plan will be discussed with the adoption coordinator. His adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Ashley Reum.
