SATURDAY, JAN. 25, from 12-3 PM: Dog adoption event at PETSMART in Olathe (119th & Strang Line) with Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several dogs there looking for homes!

TOMMY is a pretty Shepherd mix. He's got the cutest ears-- one up, one down! He is a year old and he weighs 52 lbs. Sadly, Tommy was abandoned and left tied up at a dog park overnight with another dog and a bag of food. The person who found them fostered them for a few weeks until we had space to take them in.
Despite what Tommy has been through he’s a real sweetheart. He gets excited to see staff and volunteers and is ready for his walk and play time! He loves the baby pools! Tommy does well on his walks, he really enjoys being with people. He does great with other dogs. Tommy would love a family who will let him play and snuggle and be the dog he deserves to be!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
