Tommy: The Devoted Old English Sheepdog/Poodle Mix - Ready for Adoption
Tommy is a dashing 3-year-old Sheepdog/Poodle mix with a loving spirit and a sense of purpose that can't be matched. Sporting luscious curls (temporarily tame from a much-needed grooming) which are soon to return, this fur buddy is a bundle of love and dedication.
He is quite a little soldier, having bravely transitioned from a shelter to a foster home. He has self-assigned two essential tasks:
1) Tommy takes the job of keeping track of all his humans very seriously. If you're in his family, expect to receive his full attention.
2) Guarding his domain is Tommy's pride and joy. He's diligent about making sure everything is secure. Tommy is instinctively a natural herder due to his "Sheepdog" DNA.
When not on duty, Tommy is all about love. He absolutely craves rubs, pets, and conversation, and he's found to be very expressive with his people. Alertness is his middle name, he likes to keep an eye on everyone.
Tommy is fantastic with children and loves a good game of tennis ball fetch. Clear expectations make him happy, and he thrives on positive interactions and structure.
This lovable guy has his house manners down pat—no accidents, no marking, no destructive chewing. Rest assured, he's a gentleman through and through.
As a natural guardian, Tommy may find separation challenging. To help, his foster family uses a kennel during short absences. Tommy adores being outside and participating in activities, so he might find apartment living a bit stifling. An active family with a yard and a lifestyle to match would be ideal.
Tommy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and vet-checked. What more could you ask for? His adoption fee is $650.00, a small price to pay for a lifetime of devotion and love. His fee will be used to continue the work of saving dogs at the Arizona Poodle Rescue.
